Lynn Ngai is a resident physician at Stanford University. She enjoys playing violin and erhu, a Chinese two-stringed instrument, at events around the Bay Area and abroad. She studied violin with Li Lin at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Geoff Nuttall of the St. Lawrence String Quartet. Lynn was previously associate concertmaster of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra, holds titles in the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, was the two-time first prizewinner of the MTA California State String Competition, and has performed in select master classes for world-renowned violinists Gil Shaham and Midori. She also received the highest level of certification in erhu from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Lynn enjoys sharing music with others and founded music mentorship outreach programs during her undergraduate and medical school studies.
